As a full-time working mom, wife, mother of a young teen son, and former teacher, I find I want to expand on issues that seem relevant to our family and others we know and expand the conversation. How to engage in community, developmental issues with teens (the list is endless - homework, privacy, use of technology, manners, chores, budgeting, etc.), extended family connections, nuclear family, life in the suburbs, volunteering, commuting issues, balancing act of chauffeuring and working, scheduling, vacations, and more. I have learned a lot through reading others' blogs and hope to share some of our experiences, both hits and misses, with others. The blogging world is a growing source of information and is helping working moms build community. We are not alone in our struggles with every day dilemmas and larger life problems.
