I am the mother of two daughters, a six-year-old and a 2-year-old who is medically fragile. In addition to a full-time job in funraising and public affairs for a medical research laboratory, I coordinate my daughter's ongoing medical care and therapies. Being a working mom is hard. Being the parent of a special needs child is hard. Doing it while holding a full-time job leaves no room for error.
