Eat Kale for Good Health!

Is kale the new “it” vegetable?  Well, if you ask most, it is certainly the talk of Tinseltown.  Hollywood Stars like, Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie, Kourtney Kardashian, and many celebrity chefs are both praising and partaking in kale’s health benefits.  It’s no wonder why this, age-old, green has soared in popularity.

The latest celebrity endorser of this superfood is the fabulously fit Jennifer Aniston, who attributes kale for keeping her killer body in tip-top shape for her new movie, “We’re the Millers.”  In the film, Aniston plays a stripper, and she admits that on days when she wanted to cheat on her strict diet, she indulged in kale chips.

Now, for those of you wondering about all the hype surrounding kale you may be surprised by all the staggering nutritional advantages that has celebrities, and non-celebrities alike lining up to snag a bag of this leafy green vegetable.   For starters, kale has more iron, per serving, than beef.  Plus, it’s rich in calcium, vitamin A, vitamin C and fiber.  All of these nutrients help produce cancer-fighting properties in our bodies.  It also boosts our immune system; aids in building strong bones, and improves our digestive system.

In addition, kale is a versatile vegetable that can be added to smoothies, salads, soups, and more.   A delicious list of 15-minute kale recipes are below: http://careermommy.hubpages.com/hub/5-15-Minute-Kale-Recipes

While it’s true that kale may be a trendy food because of all the celebrity hype, in actuality it’s a vegetable that’s been cultivated for over 2000 years.   And, regardless of its recent popularity, there is no denying that this is one amazing food that should be a pivotal part of our diet.  I’m usually not big on fads, but because it appears this health craze is here to stay, then this is one foodie trend that I will gladly follow.  Now, join us, go out and eat some kale today!
