10. Know they are all anxious about school, no matter how cool they may appear.
9. Buy them cool pencils and notebooks. It encourages good writing and great doodling.
8. Send ample snacks. Don’t be politically correct. Send fun food. It helps them to make more friends.
7. Put a funny note in their lunchbox. Yes, they will think it’s lame, but they will love it, where it counts.
6. Don’t be too obvious that you are happy that school is starting.
5. Tell them exactly where and when you are going to pick them up. Be on time or the office personnel will talk about you…the whole year!
4. If they are teens, remember, if you talk to their friends they will get upset. If you don’t talk to their friends they will be upset.
3. Pray they don’t have to write a story called, “What You Did On Your Summer Vacation.” It should be banned.
2. Remember that #1 is the most important one.
