The Hustle

After years of selling products for different companies such as Mary Kay; The Body Shop-Home Division and the every-elusive Avon, I have decided to try to sell my own products and or even start out by selling pastry.

The Selling
Mary Kay required me stocking up on a lot of products each month, which I had no space for in hopes of getting customers, by having beauty shows and a lot of advertising and still some of the people I was pushing the products on were too cheap to even acknowledge me trying to start up my business, kudos to people who have turned out the mega profit and were able to get that pink car. Then I tried, The Body Shop- Home Division, well that was looking to be my best business venture to date however, that was a bust, I started out by investing at least two thousand plus of my own cash into getting the products advertising, sales was booming and it was just less than a year that I had joined the company when they said it was going out of business. I had just established a customer base, wow is what I said. So after a moment of pity party then I reached out to a friend who was selling Avon then she sign me up and then that was a struggle for me because I became the biggest user and ran into so financial pit falls with that, it was a financial roller coaster and eventually, I got back on track I just could not order products without paying first. Then they eventually dropped me because customers are not buying as I would have hoped and I was not being the biggest customer and having that financial roller coaster in which I struggle to pay for the items. So, you know what I said to myself please, why am I putting money in other peoples pocket so they can drop me at any time because I am not pushing their products fast enough to put money in their pockets.  I was Avon biggest customer since I could not influence other customers

The Decision
I have decided to challenge myself to start selling homemade apple pies and then start making my own clothing design and continue to collect glasses frames so I can donate them to the local Hospital’s eye clinic, this will help me with my foundation that I want to create.
