Yesterday I told my unruly 3yr old that I was going to 'break her like a wild pony'. Being from Texas, this phrase is as common as a 3yr old that is unruly. Later, much later in the day, 3yr old gets upset, turns to me and says, "Mommy, why are you going to whip me like a horse?" Really? This is what she heard?
