The Salt and Peppa song "A Mighty Good Man" has been playing in my head since Friday. I arrived at my daughter's soccer game to see an iPad sitting next to my husband on the bleachers. I assumed he was using his iPad 2 to take video of the game, which he frequently does. My little guy looked closer and said, "Mom, that says your name."
I picked it up and sure enough, not only was my name engraved on the back, but under my name the new iPad 3 was aptly labeled Hands Off !! My first generation iPad was dropped on our ski trip. Of course, not by me, but by a couple of kids passing it back and forth during a long wait for dinner in a restaurant.
When my husband got me the first generation iPad I started using it to read. I love to read, and don't always take the time to do it. Reading books, newspapers, magazines on the iPad made it simple and convenient to read on the go and I started doing it zealously. Once my iPad took a tumble, I was reading through a large spider web crack. I didn't like it, but the cost to replace the screen seemed outrageous, particularly with the iPad 3 coming out soon. My first generation iPad didn't have a camera, and I really wanted that. So, I was reading up (through the spider web) on the iPad 3 and trying to decide what to do.
I didn't need to read or research, or even give it any thought. My husband, a mighty good man, got me a mighty good device, the iPad 3 on the very first day they were available. Apparently he'd worked his magic ahead of time and had it delivered to his office the first day they were available. And delivered it to me, on the bleachers, the same day.
I am SO thrilled. This new iPad has some great new features that my first generation didn't. And my first generation iPad had a big spider web crack that my iPad 3 doesn't. Hands Off !!
