What is it about kids in costumes ?  They are so crazy cute !  I nearly lost my mind in the third grade Halloween "dance party room" this morning.  Nothing getting done in my classrooms or on my desk this morning, but wow, did we have fun partying it up.  Who knew singing endless rounds of The Twelve Days of Halloween (again, who knew ?) was enough to bring tears to my eyes.  These kids are cute, and darn it, they aren't getting any younger.   My third grader was the only one who had a school party this year.  The rest are now too old to celebrate in school.  Realizing this fact probably made the party more enjoyable for me.  After the fourth round of The Twelve Days of Halloween I should have had a headache, not tears in my eyes.  As I mentioned yesterday, Halloween is a holiday for kids.  It amazes me that I have only one child left having school parties, and those are almost over. Just like everything else with these precious little people, they are growing out of school Halloween parties.  But don't you worry, the big kids now find other parties to attend.  And boy do they have their own fun ! But still, there is nothing like a good classroom party !  Happy Halloween to all you moms.  I hope your day was a least a little bit unproductive, so you could have more than a little bit of Halloween fun !
