I have recently read several articles that quote Facebook CEO Sheryl Sandberg as saying there is no such thing as work/life balance. You have likely seen some of these as well. Today I watched Carol Evan's segment on the Today Show, discussing doing it all with a young, single working mom.
I am torn on the issue of work/life balance. Some days I feel like I have it all figured out. Others, not so much. A lot of days not letting anything burn to the ground seems like a good day's work !
Balance seems unattainable most days, but as Carol Evan's said today, making it all happen means you are balancing. I see no flames in front of me. I guess that means it is a good day today ! I don't know if I have balance, but I do know that most of us should give ourselves more credit for trying to achieve it. If you don't see flames, you've done well today Mom.
