I am a full-time mother and freelance writer. I recently left my job as a teacher in order to start my own freelance communications business, which provides me with a more flexible schedule, and more time with my husband and daughter. I feel that being a working mother is sometimes a lot like plate spinning. You not only have to multi-task to manage parenting and professional responsibilities, you have to know when certain areas need more attention, and be willing to provide it.
