Slip Sliding, But Staying on Track

Ok, so the Diet Coke thing was a little too hard to give up in one go. My schedule has not my own right now. In fact, for the first time last week, the hubby and I hired a babysitter to help get the kids to school one morning because I was traveling for work and he had to be at work by 8 a.m. It only took us nine years before we couldn’t deal with a morning drop off by ourselves! Of course, now the kids are asking if they can have a babysitter every morning, but that’s another story.

Anyway, mix a crazy schedule in with the fact that it is way too hot to sleep right now (the window A/C is going tonight!) — and that equals one tired woman who craves caffeine!

But as with everything on this journey, I’m not giving up. As part of my travels this month, I was lucky enough to attend a conference by the Harvard Division of Sleep Medicine, which convinced me of my need for sleep. I learned so much that we’re going to focusing on sleep as part of our big Working Mother 100 Best Companies issue in October!

So I’m back at it this week, keeping my focus on what I take in as well as how I sleep.

Maybe I need to get one of these for my office?
