So there’s good news and there’s better news. Between work travel and family vacation, I spent the last two weeks or so away from the office – and then came back to a pile of emails and work. (It’s nice to know you’re missed, right?!)
Anyway, we had a great time as a family visiting friends, cousins and grandparents. We hit Cedar Point even though my kids won’t ride roller coasters, and we made our way through a seemingly endless chain of McDonald’s drive-throughs with the kids.
The good news is that while I decided to cut myself some slack during my vacation (i.e. I wasn’t going to pre-pack snacks for myself everyday like do for work), I did stick to many of the food strategies I’ve internalized over the past seven months. And the upshot is that I didn’t gain any weight on my vacation!
Honestly, I couldn’t believe it and had to weigh myself again to confirm. But the (good) number didn’t lie!
Now here’s the better news: I’m re-energized and ready to recommit to my No Excuse approach to food. And I’m kinda (always kinda) energized to find ways to add more exercise into my busy weeks.
Let’s work on that together as we make a push into the second half. I’ve lost 30 pounds, so far. I’m ready to lose 30 more!
Until next time…

Good to read this one. I
