As a working semi-single mama, I write about my extraordinary quest for normalcy. I have an amazingly Type A 9-year-old son I was fortunate enough to adopt from Korea when he was four-months-old. To maintain a connection with his heritage, we as a family are actively involved in martial arts and own a martial arts academy that teaches Taekwondo, Hapkido, and Kickboxing. I also am an adjunct at WMU in Finance and Law as well as work full time as VP of Finance for a top bank. My blog is unique in that it isn't about being a single working mom, but rather about having an amazing Korean son that is more American than any other kid on the block yet maintains those ethnic roots in unique ways.
