Still stuck Spring Cleaning? Don’t worry, because many of us are! For a quick and easy Spring Cleaning, check out some of our handy tips from the professionals at Merry Maids.

First, recruit a team. Everyone should be helping Mom clean. Turn on some jams and begin assigning tasks. It will save you time and teach your children how to pitch in and do chores.

Give everyone an eco-friendly cleaning kit. To clean quickly and efficiently, it is better to have an on-the-go tote filled with supplies. At Merry Maids, our caddies include a multi-purpose spray of 50/50 vinegar and water, a creamy scrubbing paste for tubs and showers made from ½ cup of baking soda and half a cup of liquid detergent, and a window cleaner that includes ½ teaspoon of liquid detergent, 3 tablespoons of vinegar and 2 cups of water. We also stock our caddies with microfiber cleaning cloths and sponges.

Move your couch, love seat and appliances so you are able to vacuum, sweep and wash the baseboards. Use your microfiber cloth around the house to remove dust. Dust lingers all year, and it contributes to allergies. Now is the time to dust on top, underneath and the legs of each piece of furniture.

While you use your eco-friendly window cleaner to clean the windows inside and out, send your children on a race throughout the house to collect all the light fixtures and load them in the dishwasher. You will be amazed at the difference in the lighting.

Finally, commit to making cleaning part of your everyday routine. Create a “Chore Chart” for your children with weekly or monthly incentives. Cleaning is a big responsibility, and you’ll be surprised how much time you save when everyone pitches in.
