Magnificent Mornings Ahead

I know all working moms face the morning struggle of getting their kids up, dressed, getting themselves dressed, kids fed and everyone out the door each morning. Some days I’m more successful than other days. Today I got to work and realized I forgot to put on deodorant. True story. Wish it wasn’t.

I cherish and dread the early mornings with my boys. My 6 month old is still not sleeping through the night, and is usually up twice for feedings. This is something I know I need to work on. But it is so painful letting him cry, so for now I avoid the sleep training and am a zombie every day. My 4 year-old constantly wakes me up with requests for snacks, water, another hug. Whatever he can think of that night to get me to come into his room. So needless to say, I’m tired. And the mornings are hard.

I am always looking for ways to make things easier and faster with my boys and was just reading about the 2011 winners of the Huggies® MomInspired™  Grant Program. One mom’s story caught my eye and I am excited to share her invention with you!

Meet Lauren Levy– creator of Magnificent Baby: Infant gear with Smart Close™ magnetic-fastening technology that gets baby dressed in seconds without the hassle of so many snaps, buttons, zippers or Velcro. Genius!

Lauren said that as she was struggling to get her nephew dressed one day, she suddenly thought of a way to make things much easier.

Since launching Magnificent Baby in 2010, Lauren and her team have had great success on their website and are now carried nationally in over 600 boutiques and department stores, and in over ten countries. They’re making a big push to continue to expand their market and want Magnificent Baby clothing to become a staple for children’s wardrobes. They’re currently adding new products, new fabrics and new colors all the time. If they can solve a problem using their fastener, we want to try it.

I’m placing an order right now for my little one. If these adorable jammies can make things easier and faster in the morning, I’m all for it!

Huggies® is now accepting applications for the 2012 Huggies® MomInspired™ grant program. You can learn more and submit original, innovative and viable new business and product ideas now at HuggiesMomInspired.com through July 31, 2012. The grant program will award up to twelve $15,000 grants to moms who want to launch a new, innovative baby or childcare product that can ease parents’ messes and stresses. Grants will be announced and awarded in the fall of 2012.
