Heart to Heart

By Anne Sanders

Anne Sanders likes to help others. Why? Because it feels so good. Because it's the right thing to do. Because she can, which helps her see that her life is better than she sometimes thinks it is. Helping is a way of connecting with other people, some whom you will never see and others who will thank you with their words, smiles, and hearts. Through her son's cancer and her husband's deployments, she has asked for help and given it, too. We all need help and we all need to help others.
