Let me tell you a story…
A team of mountain climbers was scaling Mount Everest, and they camped below the summit. Another team was returning from the top and saw them camped there.
“Why are you camped?” they wanted to know.
“We are waiting for our map,” they replied. “We forgot our map at base camp and have sent a Sherpa back to retrieve it. So we are waiting.”
"But from here you do not need a map!” the returning team replied. “There are no avalanches, no problems. From here, go straight to the top! No map is necessary.”
So drop all your maps and baggage. Go directly to the summit from here.

When I read this story I thought about the reasons why we postpone our dream by staring at it.
What do you need to reach the top?
It isn’t gathering more maps, baggage, or advice.
It isn’t that ONE DAY the circumstances are perfect.
It isn’t waiting for a permit to access the holy ground of your dream. Your summit is just a few steps away… and I don’t think you know it.
The three biggest myths that will keep you camped out below your summit are:
Myth #1: There’s no urgency.
You are responsible to share your talents and unique message with the world. If you don’t do it, they will be lost and the world will not have them. It is urgent to step into your Soul’s shoes and strap on your hiking boots. You cannot wait till the circumstances are better. When it is the due date, your baby will die inside if you don’t push through the last stage. Whether it’s a baby, a book, or a business, the principles are the same.
Myth #2: You’ve got to bring a lot of baggage, just in case.
The baggage of the past is way too heavy and will keep you stuck at base camp. You must empty your rucksack. The only tools you need are faith, trust, and surrender to rely on your innate wisdom.
Myth #3: You need a map from someone else to reach the top.
Living your dreams means listening within for guidance and ruthlessly aiming for the top. Following the roadmap of others means settling for less. It deviates you from your own path. You don’t need a Sherpa to find you the map. Your inner GPS is the best guide you can wish for.
Even though it might seem scary to say yes to the destiny of your Soul, ultimately reaching the summit is the safest and most inspiring place to arrive.
Determine if you are still hiding out at base camp or if you’re ready to forge ahead. You can do it.
Your dream is calling you. It’s urgent. You don’t need a map. You can travel light. And no extra baggage is needed.
Let’s go!
I’ll see you at the top.
