3 Ways to Fall In Love With Your Business

We can experience love from many areas of our lives. Our family, our friends, our spouse, our pets and most importantly ourselves.  Love is an essential ingredient to our sense of wellbeing and for us to thrive.

We see our kids blossom under our love. We feel ourselves expand when we receive love.

One area in life we don’t always connect with love is business. However, when we start asking advice about launching our own business it is surprising how many words that are used relate to love.

We need to have passion for our business. We need to nurture our business. We need to love it and take care of it like raising a child.  If a business is to grow and flourish it takes commitment and a big dose of love similar to marriage.

If 2013 is the year you are taking that leap to launch your own business here are 3 ways to make sure you fall in love with your business and create a happy, committed and fulfilling relationship with it.

1. Love What You Do

This is such an essential ingredient to a highly successful business. If we are to find the drive, the perseverance and the commitment required to build a thriving and sustainable business we have to have a deep heartfelt love for what we do.

We’ve most likely all had jobs we don’t love and experienced the lack of motivation and desire we feel as we go to the office each day. Maybe even decreased productivity as a result. These feelings are a recipe for disaster when you are the owner of a business.

It doesn’t mean we won’t have times where our motivation wanes. The difference is that this will be temporary.

When we experience a deep love for what we are doing it is much easier to overcome these bumps along the way. To reconnect with our passion and drive for our business and doing what it takes to keep moving forward.

2. Love What Your Business Stands For

As the founder our business core values should reflect our own deepest personal core values. It will reflect in every decision we make and everything we do in your business.

How we treat people, the kind of products or services we offer, the employees we hire.

When our core values are in alignment our business will come across as authentic and trustworthy. This will attract our ideal clients who connect with our core values, which is pure joy.

As you start to develop your business idea and vision make sure you clarify from the get to what your business will stand for.

3. Love What It Teaches You

When we embark on the journey of launching our own business one thing for certain is that it will be one of our greatest teacher’s in life. Our business acts like a mirror reflecting all our thoughts, behaviors and actions that in turn determines the level of success we will experience.

For example the amount of confidence and belief we have in ourselves will be reflected by the amount of confidence and belief others have in our business. Our relationship to money will come through in the financial health of our business.

When we become aware of and embrace all that our business is trying to teach us then we will find ourselves in a powerful fulfilling and successful relationship with it.

As you make the decision to take that leap into your own business take the time to create a business vision and model that will allow you to truly fall head over heels in love with your business. Once you do success and fulfillment will be yours for the taking.
