The Positive Enabler

Posted on June 22, 2013

Label someone an enabler and you are describing them as the enemy. The one who puts right in your face, the very thing you are trying to give up. I want to change the “enabler” association to a positive. My column, The Enabler, will put right in your hands the very tools you need to create and enjoy a productive life.

Enable: to make able, possible, easy. To give power, means or ability.

I'm talking to all the working mothers out there who made a decision (or tradeoff, if you wish) to work and raise kids. Let me help you, or enable you, integrate your multiple roles and create and enjoy a productive life as both mom and professional.

I am a positive enabler. I enable working mothers to create and enjoy productive lives.

As a blogger and COO of PSDNetwork, each week I talk to women who fall somewhere along the wide spectrum of Mompreneur to full time executive. The Enabler column here at Working Mother will share those women’s experiences as they integrate parenting and work. I always include the highs and lows, tradeoffs, and lessons learned. I'll turn their stories and experiences into tools you can apply to create and enjoy a productive life.
