11 things I’m thinking about today—11/11/11

(in no particular order)

1. I desperately need a pedicure.

2. It’s National Adoption Awareness Month, and adopting our daughter 16 years ago was one of the smartest, sweetest and best things I’ve ever done in my life. (Marrying my husband, Ed, is right up there, too.) Tomorrow we go to our adoption travel group reunion, which we do every six months. It’s so cool to see our kids growing up.

3. Veterans Day started as Armistice Day—a remembrance of the end of the Big war. In honor of vets, in hopes of peace...

4. I’m so lucky to have my family.

5. Will I ever stop feeling tired? This working mom really needs to get more sleep. But how?

6. I need to eat a little less and exercise a little more.

7. I like my job. A lot of work, but I hope I’m still of service to others.

8. The sky is so blue today in New York City. That makes me happy.

9. Farewell, Regis!

10. Oy, will this economy ever get straightened out? Congress, it’s time to get your act together. (I hate politics.) Come on folks…a lot of people are suffering out there.

11. I think I’m going to get that pedicure today!
