Crystal Kimpson Roberts is a professional writer and public relations practitioner, who has worked for a daily newspaper, four school districts, a state public education agency, and a small, private college. Her freelance work has appeared in The Black Collegian magazine, The Independent weekly newspaper, The Daily Press, Inc. newspaper, and other periodicals. She has also taught on the community college level and worked for a city police department. Most notably she has been a mother for nearly 20 years.
