As a working mom of three children, I have navigated solutions to childcare, starting my own business, and managing overall life. One year, my professor husband was called up from the Reserves and deployed to Afghanistan! With no family in town, and  "civilian" life with friends who knew nothing about the military, my solutions (and sanity) were challenged to the extreme. But we women are very resourceful, and even while making some mistakes along the way, I survived that hardest year of my life.
