How to Make an Easy Decision

Posted on November 03, 2011

It’s not about what you are willing to do now…it’s about what you are NOT willing to sacrifice for your future.

That’s when your decision becomes easy. There is always two ways to look at any situation. What is more important to you? What is starring you in the face today or what your life will be like longterm. See the big picture.
  • Find a balance between lack of time to exercise and longterm health.
  • Guilt of having your child play independently during work time and setting yourself up financially for a lifetime of success.
  • Having dessert each day will add up to longterm weight gain.
  • Consistently putting off car maintenance will result in car trouble.
  • Putting off phone calls to your loved ones will cause regret.
You get my point, I hope. Apply this message however it fits into your life. Just apply it so you don’t spend each day missing a small opportunity to add to your future. These are the choices we make a little bit at a time. You may not feel they are big decisions, but they add up. Determine your own future. Don’t let circumstance and lack of future vision impact where you ultimately want to be. Be aware and don’t delay. It takes an effort every day to see your consistent efforts pay off. Don’t wait until it’s too late. Today is day one, not tomorrow. “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery. And today? Today is a gift. That’s why we call it the present.”
