Guess what? It's Friday! I hope your day is going great. I also hope you are planning to get the most out of your weekend. Since we all seem to be in a great mood on Fridays, I'd like to make this the day we choose to relax, hop off our tight ropes, and reflect on what makes us most happy. Let's call this day of the week "Happy Friday."
As working moms, we lead very hectic lives. When life seems to be getting the best of us, that is when we must over-power negative forces with positive ones. The one truth that we all seem forget when life is beating us down is that each of us as individuals control our own happiness. We each get to choose whether or not we will allow something (or someone) to interfere with a peaceful state of mind. According to the Mayo Clinic, studies suggest that happiness is primarily dependent upon "thoughts and behaviors that can be changed." When you think about it, finding true happiness is very empowering. Why? Because, finding true happiness means more than just figuring out what makes you smile. You see, a smile is just a temporary expression; but true happiness is an everlasting state of mind. Finding happiness means finding contentment. Happiness results in positive thoughts and emotions. True happiness can be very hard to find and even harder to control. If you are anything like me, you are constantly trying to find your "happy place." Once you find your happy place, then you must learn how to live there, protect, maintain, and control it. Yes, your happiness can be a very powerful force. It is not until you have learned how to control your happiness, that you will have the ability to control your outcomes.
Until next time, Happy Friday!!!!!
