Smile, baby!

Posted on June 23, 2012

Today, I am sharing a post that I wrote for my cousin Allison's blog, Scoop of Reality

Allison's son Will, my Godson, was born with a cleft palate - as Allison was 36 years ago. To read her story of Will's birth, visit this blog post:Project Smile

Fortunately for Will, he is born into a family that can and will provide the best medical treatment possible. And they have, for now he is a bouncing baby boy of nearly 2 - perfect in every single way.

Sadly, though - there are many children in this world that do not have the same resources at their disposal, and cleft palate can cause many difficulties in thier lives. For this reason, Allison has begun working Project Smile - working to raise funds for organizations that provide medical assistance to children with cleft palate. For the second year, she will donate $1to both Operation Smile and Smile Train for every coment left on her blog for a month - a month that ends tomorrow!

I am honored to have provided the last guest blog post on Scoop of Reality, and would be thrilled if you would stop by, leave a note of encouragement, and help us raise badly needed funds for the children  that will benefit from Project Smile.

Thank you!
