Grateful - We love what we do

Erika and I love what we do, it wakes us up each morning, keeps moving fast during the day and fills our dreams at night. So it makes us so happy that others are enjoying our hard work and dedication we put into Cocktails and Conversations. We had to put a Thank You blog out there for some real dedicated fans (check the pic attached).

Giving Facebook The Boot

Let me preface this blog post by first saying I am one plugged-in Mommy. I live and breathe the Internet and social media, and whole-heartedly endorse it.  As a woman who works in public relations, it's a necessary professional tool that can come with great benefits.

#Hotness for July

Here are few things that are hot on my list this month:

The Calendar Bracelet by Dalla Nonna

1. A Dalla Nonna calendar bracelet is what all the cool moms want -- and I'm no different. My only problem is two kids, born in two different month so what's a mom to do? Well I could get two. Prices range from $125 - $650 depending on the metal you choose. Which ever you decide, do choose one.

Stop Telling Me What I Can't Have! - The Pink Suite

I wish people would stop telling women what they can and can't have...  From the sound of it, Ann-Marie Slaughter did exactly what she wanted, needed or was driven to do, in her story; "Why Women Still Can't Have It All." We live is a world of customization and have been saying for decades one size doesn't fit all.

Flexible Mommy Account

Summer is officially here, the kids are out of school and Mom is still meeting work commitments while trying to juggle some real quality time in with the kids to make the summer count.  Summer should be fun for the kids, but juggling so much fun into the schedule, making up for the extra groceries needed with the kids home all day not to mention extra phone calls at work during the day from kids who say "Mom, I'm bored" calls for a plan of action to make sure Mom doesn't get burned out and stays on track this summer to have a little fun herself.  Selfish?  I call it the Flexi

If you haven't yet heard about the viral YouTube video that hit this week, titled, "Making the Bus Monitor Cry," consider yourself lucky. The video shows a group of seventh grade boys ridiculing, verbally abusing and even poking an elderly bus monitor. The language and the hatred from these young boys is appalling and so difficult to watch that I couldn't even finish the entire 10 minute video.

How To Get Started Selling Advertising On Your Website

When I began Christian Work at Home Moms in late 2000 it seemed like a natural thing to include advertising from moms who wanted to reach other moms with the business opportunities. I didn’t really have a strategy in mind; I simply stuck some ads on my website and waited for new advertisers to contact me. If you run a website or blog and would like sell ads on your site, here are a few tips from what I have learned over the years.

1. Assess your website

Video Response to @mombizcoach tweet about Multi-tasking Moms

Posted on June 06, 2012

@Mombizcoach wants to know
about your craziest multitasking mom moment. Being a female entrepreneur or a
FOGUL (Female + Mogul) as I call it, can get taxing and I don't have a nanny
like Kimora Lee Simmons so I do the best this Single Momager can do. Take a
look at my video on one of my crazy MMMs....

Til Death Do Us Part

Til Death Do Us Part
Marriage is Hard.   Let me repeat for effect: Marriage is hard. It is mostly awesome but damn, is it hard sometimes. I have ten years of marriage under my belt. Semi-significant but certainly not medal-worthy. But ten years gives you a bit of a perspective. And I can say in all honesty that I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I eloped at age 27. And thank God because there’s a good chance I might not have been brave enough to take that leap.
