We all know that one person who vehemently resists social networking and many of the technical advances that abound our daily lives. Excuses vary for the avoidance: “Online communication can’t replace human interaction,” “Facebook is ushering in the decline of our society,” “There is no time (this one is my favorite).” I myself don’t gravitate to online networking. I don’t have a twitter account as there is no need for a play by play account of my daily routines.

I sobbed uncontrollably at the thought of ending my blog. I debated in my mind if it was worth it. The long hours, the hard work, all the tasks that remain undone. The guilt of spending too much time on the computer, the fear of saying good-bye to something I truly love, the skepticism about balancing priorities. I wondered, is it so wrong to want it all?

Several years ago my friend and colleague, Kathy Kadilak and I began collecting stories of women from "our generation" who were entering the workplace in the 60's, 70's and 80's. Our mission was to curate these stories because we believe that in order to gauge where we're going, it's always good to know where we've come from. Creating a context of our journey so far is crucial to understanding why we want the things we want, and ultimately, how to get them.

As the Twitterverse explodes with tweets about Tim Tebow leading the Denver Broncos to an incredible playoff overtime win against the Pittsburgh Steelers, I am stunned (as usual) to see some of the mockery of this young man. As a mother of two boys under the age of 5, I am fortunate that my husband serves as a wonderful role model for our boys, especially when there are so few positive

Bloggers, especially mom bloggers, are hugely influential when it comes to recommending products and services. And their audience and readers listen! Many of them have thousands of dedicated readers every month who listen and try the products that the bloggers recommend.
If you have a mom-invented product, part of your marketing strategy should be to host a product giveaway or do a product review with mom bloggers. What are some benefits of working with bloggers to promote a product?
Co-Dependency is not a new theory and much information can be found on the Web or in the library regarding this subject in just about any category. Romeo and Juliet were infamous for the fact they made their relationship more important than themselves. When most of us think of co-dependent, they associate one partner having an issue with addiction whether that be to alcohol, drugs, gambling, overeating, etc.
I was thrilled today when I saw an online article by Katherine Lewis (thanks, Katherine!) in her About.com Working Moms blog that discussed State Street's innovation in Flex Work. Article linked here
