The gender bias law suit before the US Supreme Court was simply called WAL-MART STORES, INC. v. DUKES ET AL. 

A million and a half women pressed a Class Action suit against America’s largest retailer, Walmart for discriminating against women employees violating the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

In Monday’s action, SCOTUS threw out the case, the largest employment discrimination suit in US history.

On Sunday, I read "When It Comes to Scandal, Girls Won't Be Boys" in the New York Times focused on the current Congressman Anthony Wiener scandal.  Presented with a brief, quiet moment at home, I starting jotting down my thoughts about the Weiner matter, but each time, my kids interrupted me.

One of the most natural and urgent instincts of a mother is to feed her child. No mother wants her child to go hungry. But according to the Hungersite’s Facebook page, about 24,000 people die every day from hunger or hunger-related causes and three-fourths of the deaths are children under the age of five.

I haven't had much time this week to write a blog so instead I will introduce you to an opinion article that left me giggling over lunch.  It’s not about kids or even directly about being a working mom but it is about the absurdity of life and the causes people create just to create at cause.  It reminds me of a Boomsday by Christopher Buckley where a faux marketing campaign takes root and becomes a national juggernaut.
