Summertime Confession - There are those very rare and glorious summer days, when things are falling perfectly into place. I’ve completed all my projects. Deadlines are met. All FedEx packages have been dropped off.  It’s Friday morning, the weather is perfect and I’ve had a conversation with my employer regarding the status of my projects.

Hello there. My name is Jaclyn Rubly and I’m from the Greater Seattle area. Allow me to introduce myself. I’m a freelance journalist, happily married and guess what? I’ve got 5 kids all under the age of 6! Phew…You must have known that one was coming. I’m a busy mom who works a job as a receptionist all the while my husband is a stay at home dad. Tip of the Week - Problem Crumb Trail

What it is:  The residual headaches and guilty feelings we leave ourselves when we make poor choices.

Why it’s Important:  Problems are avoidable – well most of them, anyway. Think of cleaning your blender after making a fiber-filled protein shake.  Waiting means you’ll spend triple the time scrubbing-off the dried fiber bits, but rinsing right away is a snap.

This has created growth in the work-at-home industry as it allows companies to save on expenses like office space, equipment and insurance costs.

Stop Telling Me What I Can't Have! - The Pink Suite

I wish people would stop telling women what they can and can't have...  From the sound of it, Ann-Marie Slaughter did exactly what she wanted, needed or was driven to do, in her story; "Why Women Still Can't Have It All." We live is a world of customization and have been saying for decades one size doesn't fit all.

How Do You Get Any Work Done?

“How do you get any work done?” is a common question I’m asked when people hear I work from home two days a week.

I could quickly give an answer when my daughter was only months old, sleeping 15 plus hours a day, and not crawling or walking.  She would occasionally cry or whimper, but as long as she was fed, burped and changed, managing her, my work and house was a piece of German chocolate cake.

How To Get Started Selling Advertising On Your Website

When I began Christian Work at Home Moms in late 2000 it seemed like a natural thing to include advertising from moms who wanted to reach other moms with the business opportunities. The Case for a Work Vacation

There are a lot of benefits to running your own business. As a freelance writer, I get to set my own hours, choose my own assignments and determine my pay rate. I’m also my own boss, and have no other employees to worry about. All in all, it’s pretty great.
