Going into the office...Whew! It's been a long time.

If you predominantly work from home and very rarely have to physically go into the office, you may get jitters when the time comes to make an actual appearance in person. This happened to me recently. I literally work from home about 90% of the time, but recently I was asked to come into our New York office for training. Oh well, there goes the bunny slippers! Are We Mad, Or Just Crazy?

When I think about the energy I have wasted over the years being angry, I am sure I must be crazy, and that just makes me mad.

How about you?

Do you ever get angry over “little” things?

Can your children push your buttons?  Of course we expect our children to know how to push our buttons, but did you ever think they would learn the secret to pushing them all at the same time?

What the “New” Value Proposition Means for Women and Pay

The traditional value proposition that existed between companies and employers was structured around loyalty.  In exchange for services provided, dedication, long hours and commitment, the company would provide fair wages, benefits and retirement. Those days are long gone.

5 Ways to Find A Job in Another Location

As if returning to work after an extended absence isn't hard enough, imagine doing that in a city where you DO NOT LIVE?   Just finding the job opening is hard.  Then the number of applicants applying for the same job increases competition.  No one calls back, emails or texts.

Can Moms Have It All?

When I was growing up, the supermom was touted as the ideal mother. But when I became a mom, I realized that trying to be supermom was hard, unfulfilling and usually went unrecognized. I decided I’d rather have happiness over folded laundry. And yet, I still meet moms today who are trying to negotiate flex time or work from home so they have time for the kids and housework and all that goes into being a supermom. I'm not saying that is wrong. What I'm asking is, is that "all"?

Parent-friendly Business

I often think about issues related to women in business.  However, the proverbial glass ceiling has been on my brain more than usual during the past few weeks.  When I graduated from college in the early 1990’s, there was talk about shattering the glass ceiling.  What’s amazing to me is the number of advancements that have been made since 1990.  Think about it!  Since then, the internet was created, the Human Genome Project was completed and the first cloned sheep (Dolly) was born.  Yet, during the same time the percentage of women CEOs in Fortune 500 companies
