WellStar Health System
Mothers at this health care organization have long enjoyed ample time off after the birth of a child, taking up to nine job-guaranteed months to bond with their new arrivals, including six weeks partially paid via short-term disability. Now more of that time will be compensated, under a new policy that grants three fully paid weeks of parental leave to all full-time employees. To help those who want to adopt, the organization will reimburse their costs (up to $5,000) and just doubled its lifetime coverage maximum (from $10,000 to $20,000). Women looking to get pregnant may also tap up to $10,000 for their fertility treatments. Moms-to-be are grateful for the organization’s on-site Lamaze and parenting classes, child care centers, lactation rooms and concierge services.
