Texas Instruments
You don’t often hear breastfeeding or infant sleep and travel issues publicly discussed at this semiconductor and educational technology company. But the launch of its New Moms affinity group last year expanded its excellent programming for parents, which also includes seminars (on bullying, teen stress, ADD) concerning older kids. The company’s women’s network held 35 new roundtable sessions that found its members sharing job histories and ideas for work life balance while exploring paths toward promotion and parsing ways to talk about family issues. Employees chosen for the Women’s Insights Group are mentored by senior execs; other development initiatives are available for female tech experts and women in P&L positions.
