What We Love

Women are moving into the top echelons of this financial services company. While they currently serve as 68% of branch managers and 53% of regional managers, they are assuming assistant vice president and vice president jobs at a fast clip. A new mentoring program pairing high-potential women with members of the management committee aims to further accelerate their success. To help moms make time for family, the company expanded its maternity leave to seven fully paid weeks from three partially paid; new dads and adoptive parents get a paid week off, and there's $5,000 in adoption aid. In Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, parents can take kids under 12 to on-site backup-care centers at least 20 days per year; elsewhere, they tap 15 days of subsidized backup. Those with newborns or newly adopted kids earn eight extra weeks of center-based care.
