Dell
91% of Dell employees surveyed last year said that work/life balance and flexibility are major reasons they stick with the company.
This Round Rock, TX–based tech giant is working its way back to a healthy bottom line—and investing in the health of its employees. Stress management seminars and coaching were launched last year. The company also amped up its promotion of mental health counseling and introduced targeted wellness programs that financially reward staffers who use them. Its three on-site fitness centers in Tennessee and Texas offer yoga, Latin dance and weight-loss and pregnancy exercise classes; staffers elsewhere receive local gym discounts; and deskbound workers may request in-office visits from massage therapists. A new medical clinic at headquarters provides checkups, screening tests, sick care, injury treatment— even allergy shots.
