Credit Suisse
12 paid weeks of parental leave are available to Credit Suisse employee dads.
There’s new meaning to the term “networking” at this global financial services firm, with U.S. headquarters in New York City. Last year, nearly one third of its employees participated in the Credit Suisse Family Network, which brings parents together to learn about everything from choosing the right elementary school to raising children with character. The network helps new parents become quickly versed in the best ways to handle sleep issues, child care and discipline; educates middle school moms and dads on protecting their kids from peer pressure and bullying; and offers parents of high schoolers the lowdown on SAT prep and scholarships. To give employees the space they need to put all this into practice, the company encourages them to flex their schedule, work from home or, after having a child, phase back into their job on a part-time basis.
