Worrying about what one’s kids are going to do after high school can prematurely age many parents, but this financial services company helps its employees by providing free access to a college-coaching program. Working with admissions experts, families learn how to find the schools that best match their budgets and interests, and maximize their teens’ odds of getting accepted. It’s a nice addition to the company’s family-friendly programs, which already include backup child care at hundreds of facilities nationwide, as well as dependent care subsidies. Many parents flex their schedules, work remotely or compress their weeks to get things done, and all salaried employees with a year of service receive 17 to 22 paid days off annually, plus another fully paid day off per year to volunteer. Up to 50% of the workforce can access on-site fitness and medical centers.
