The Family Wellness Program just launched by this health care system offers free diet and exercise coaching to employees and their immediate relatives, helping them stay in shape. Workers who sign up for the system’s You4Life initiative also receive expert wellness consultations and earn rewards for making lifestyle changes. At several sites, employees can relax in serenity rooms with candles, sofas and soft lighting; alternative work options and online shift scheduling inject flexibility into the day. Concierge services at three primary locations (and available by phone) help workers with errands. Enhanced benefits include increased tuition subsidies at three near-site child care facilities and insurance coverage for the diagnosis of kids on the autism spectrum, plus treatment at Atlanta’s Marcus Autism Center.
