Bronson Healthcare Group
There’s no faster way to feel great than by torching calories at the gym, as employees at this health care system know. Many of them take Pilates, water aerobics, yoga and other exercise classes at a 68,000-square-foot fitness center near their employer’s main sites, and the bulk of the cost is forgiven if they go eight times per month. It only takes 36 hours of work per week to become eligible for health insurance, which comes with $500 in annual “wellness dollars” (up to $1,000 per family); these can be used to pay for on-site massages, personal trainers, smoking-cessation aids and more. Inspired to get fit, dozens of employees joined a corporate weightloss challenge in 2011.
