Bank of America
Learning how to direct a team, speak with authority and manifest an executive presence are skills that come naturally to few people. Women at this bank benefit from programs that show them how to rise to power—and explain what to do when they get there. In 2011, its Global Banking and Markets Division launched a virtual worldwide women’s conference, which taught attendees from New York to Tokyo better ways to network, develop their businesses and balance their lives. the bank’s Technology and Operations Division also introduced its Career Development initiative for Women, which provides participants with career education and strategy sessions. Formal mentoring programs exist in at least 15 business units and affinity groups.
