Methodology
The Application
The 2013 Working Mother Best Companies for Multicultural Women application includes nearly 400 questions on representation; hiring, attrition and promotion rates; recruitment, retention and advancement programs; and company culture.

The Scoring
The Working Mother Research Institute creates a scoring algorithm based on the previous year’s benchmark results, which then determines the winners. Company profiles are culled from the survey applications and reflect 2011 data.

You need to be hired before you go because your employer needs to apply for your work permit. True, they do like Candians because on the whole we are a little more open minded culturally and are more chilled out coming from such a multicultural country. We are also, again on the whole, more willing to follow or at least be very polite about traditions and customs. Or as someone told me on a flight once, we are 'bloody boring and far too polite - we make the rest of the world look bad" LOL.. rao vat
