In honor of our initiative’s tenth year, we’ve chosen a record 25 Best Companies for Multicultural Women. Judged not only on their programs but also for their ability to hire, retain and advance multicultural women, the 2012 winners set the standard for employers nationwide and are committed to helping women of color build powerful networks, both personally and professionally (“Net Effects”). On this important anniversary, we consider what we’ve learned over a decade of conversations with big companies and individual minority women (“The Power of 10”) and look to the future, asking the Best Companies’ Top 10 to reveal their most effective strategies for filling their multicultural pipelines (“Ten Ways to Catch a Rising Star”).
