Another Busy Day

Posted on February 18, 2011

Today was another busy day in our household. My oldest made the school bus, but the little two, dawdling making water bottles and leashing up the dog, did not. It amazes me how one can get it together and make the bus but the other two can’t. Still in my pajamas, I drove them to meet the bus. I had the dry cleaning in my car, and the cleaners is right across the street, so I went to the cleaners in my pajamas. A new all time personal low, going around town in my pajamas. Things got brighter as the day wore on. I graded projects, held seminar and had a couple of productive meetings. Before I knew it, the kids were getting off the bus. After school snacks, some pick up basketball on the driveway and soon Coach Dad was home, ready to take our daughter off to practice. The boys changed out of their uniforms, I changed (finally) out of my pajamas and the three of us headed out to the school fundraising dinner at a local restaurant. As co chair of Family Fun Night dinners for our school each month, I make sure my entire clan turns out, one way or another. Thanks to the great turn out (Yeah Holy Family !), we waited for a table. Rick and Ella arrived right as we were being seated. The five of us sat down to dinner together. We don’t always get to do that, given everyone’s crazy schedules. We enjoyed each other’s company and a good time was had by all. Not a bad way to end another busy day. I’m curious about the rest of you, especially those of you who work from home….I used to say if I stay in my pajamas I will stay in and get work done. Apparently that’s not the case anymore. I need some help. What do you wear for a day of working at home ?
