I have been working in the field of PR research and measurement for about 10 years now. It was not something I had ever thought I would do, but fell into an entry-level job not long after graduating from college and it just clicked. I found the inner-research in me and I’ve not been able to shake it since! Because of my job, I read a ton of blogs as well as monitoring comments onTwitter, Facebook, etc. Social media is the new frontier for media analysis and it’s so intriguing to see what people have to say. It’s been fun to watch communication evolve to such a personal level. While the PR company I work for concentrates on technology for the most part, I love to research and analyze just about anything (ask my husband).
I’ve toyed with the idea of writing my own blog for quite some time, but I just never really knew where to start. What would my focus be? I consider myself to have two “jobs:” my job as a professional media analyst, and that of mom. Being a mom is always my first priority, but what I’ve found is that my enjoyment of research has actually helped me be a mom! The more I read, the more I learn. I may not always agree with what I read and what mom does, really? But I do think it helps me make more informed decisions about parenting and I hope to talk about that in my blog at times. However, I hope to focus primarily on just being a working mom. We all have our struggles and our triumphs, so hopefully I can write about topics that I feel strongly about that might also reach another mom or two. I have a sarcastic sense of humor (again, ask my husband), so don’t be surprised if that comes through from time to time as well.

First and foremost, I am a wife as well as a mother to two very energetic, but wonderful children (ages 7 and 4). I balance those roles with my full-time job, working in the PR/media measurement and research field. I am fortunate enough to work from home part-time, which makes it a bit easier to balance home and career (not always, but I try). You can find me on Twitter: @teradh1
