Women with chest pain are less likely than men to be treated for a heart attack by paramedics, says a University of Pennsylvania study. Why? Mainly because they have different heart attack symptoms. To protect yourself, learn these signs of heart problems in women:

• Pain or tightness on either side of the body (men usually have pain on the right) • Back, neck or jaw pain
• Abdominal pain or heartburn • Fatigue
• Shortness of breath
• Nausea
• Sweating
• Dizziness
• Anxiety.
