Jody Adams
Mom of Oliver, 20, and Roxanne, 14
James Beard Award–winning chef Jody Adams is the owner of the wildly successful Rialto restaurant in Cambridge, MA. Seen recently as a contestant on Bravo’s oh-so-competitive Top Chef Masters, Jody is known for using New England grown ingredients to interpret the regional Italian dishes on Rialto’s menu. She’s also known for her support of local charities—the Greater Boston Food Bank and Share Our Strength, among them—as well as local farmers, via her educational program, Guerrilla Grillers. “We like knowing the people who produce what we eat,” says Jody. When her kids were young, she always had them taste a bit of everything served to help develop their palates. She reminds moms, “It can take fifteen to twenty tastes for someone to get used to eating a food.” Jody, we need only one bite to fall in love with your great cooking!
