Lieutenant Commander Booker is a rising star in the Coast Guard who is doing a lot to make the organization women and mom friendly. She has been in the Coast Guard since 1999, and attended Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government for one year. Following Harvard in 2008 she became responsible for staffing the US Coast Guard’s aviation program and providing career guidance to over 1,200 pilots. Booker has organized the Women in Aviation Conference and put together a Mom Book about pregnancy and aviation that has been an invaluable resource for moms-to-be in the military.
