Hollywood Moms Who Play Moms on TV

We've added to our Working Mother roundup of leading TV actresses who are working mothers, finding ways to spend time with their own kids while dealing with the stresses and heavy schedules of weekly TV series, like Private Practice and the newest series on our list, $#*! MY DAD SAYS. In seasons passed, some have played roles from scorned wife or socialite on shows like The Good Wife and Gossip Girl, to absurd mothers trying to pull off the mundane as we laugh at their craziness, like the moms in Weeds and The Middle.

Nicole’s Kids: sons Dashell, 3 Beckett, 1

This working mom comedian and actress is in the new Fall 2010 series, $#*! MY DAD SAYS (pronounced "Bleep My Dad Says"), based on the popular Twitter feed by Justin Halpern, along with Emmy Award winner William Shatner as Ed, the dad in the title. As Bonnie, she is the lead women in the ensemble cast.

CBS publicity describes the characters this way: “Nobody is safe from Ed's rants, including his sons, Henry, a struggling writer-turned-unpaid blogger; and Vince, the meek half of a husband/wife real estate duo with domineering Bonnie,” Nicole’s character.

Sullivan has been public and very funny about her post-baby weight loss issues by becoming a Jenny Craig spokesperson. She says she lost 35 pounds on the specialty diet and exercise program and found her inner athlete with an activity plan that anyone can do within the comfort of their own home. As part of her spokesmom role, she is now touting the Working Mom Workout.
