Problem: You’ve got the day off and your restless kids are eager for something to do on this bright summer morning. All you want is to sleep in late, but to make that happen, you have to find something to keep them entertained.
Solution: Spin a web of imagination and strategy with this a-maze-ing outdoor game. You’re sure to keep them busy for a few hours until you’re hungry for breakfast—or more likely lunch. Set the stage for the kids by dragging strings of colored yarn over and under props such as patio tables, chairs, bushes and fountains. Be inventive, leaving as few loopholes as possible for your kids to climb through and around in this colorful obstacle maze. For safety’s sake, wrap yarn only around barriers that won’t tip over during play. Yell “Go!” One at a time, each child must make it from one side of the maze to the other without touching the yarn. Anyone who touches has to start over. Kick it up a notch by timing each player to see who navigates the course fastest.
