Problem: Your little artists have taken over your home, posting pictures all over the fridge, the family room walls and playroom. You’re tired of having your house pose as a gallery but you can’t bare to throw away any of your children’s masterpieces.
Solution: Reclaim your wall space by creating a virtual fridge. Scan the artwork, take pictures of the kids displaying their favorites or event take a photo of the fridge, then upload them to your computer, says Heather Cabot, Yahoo Web Life editor and founder of The Well Mom, Inc. (thewellmom.com). Share their talent with friends and family through sites like Flickr.com or create a screen saver for your office with a rotating slide show of their artwork. Need a gift for Grandma? Make an actual photo album of your digital gallery on sites like HowFastTheyGrow.com which offers some adorable templates (just insert your pictures and text.) Get the kids involved by shooting short videos of the artists at work or explaining techniques. Combine the stills with streaming video for fun rainy day projects, says Heather. Burn everything to discs—which store much more neatly than poster board and construction paper.
