Colorectal cancer isn’t just for grandparents anymore. The incidence of the disease shot up 28 percent among white women ages 20 to 49, according to a study published by researchers at the American Cancer Society comparing data from 1992–95 and 2002–05. Talk to your doctor about early screening (before age 50) if you have a relative who has
colorectal cancer or if you have an inflammatory bowel disease, both of which put you at higher risk.
